ILSI Korea has addressed issues related to food additives, GMOs, nutrition, and food safety since established in 1995. It gathers the latest information on these subjects through scientific activities and conferences to inform its members, government agencies, and the public.
The main areas of interest include food safety and functional foods, novel foods, nutrition, and risk assessment. Under the supervision of the Scientific Advisory Council are two scientific subcommittees, i.e. Committee of Food Safety and Hygiene & Committee of Functional Foods.
Currently, ILSI Korea has nine member companies, both domestic and global based.
